The Australian Rheumatology Association is in the process of developing a new series of Patient Information brochures. Our aim is to provide good-quality information that will give you an understanding of your condition, the aims of treatment and the things they can do to participate in management
In addition to the standard disease-oriented topics,
we intend to provide information on:
the meaning of blood tests in inflammatory arthritis;
the aims of treatment;
the relationships between osteoporosis and inflammatory arthritis;
information about the links between heart disease and arthritis;
the data on smoking and arthritis; and
pain management, including non-arthritis conditions such
as fibromyalgia.
