During National Arthritis Week
- 6th - 12th April 2003
Approximately 1.2 million Australians suffer from Australia's
most common chronic disease, it's not asthma or diabetes - it's arthritis.
National Arthritis Week (6th - 12th April) is an initiative of the Arthritis Foundation of Australia and aims to raise awareness of the impact of arthritis in the community and to help put people in touch with information and services.
During Arthritis Week this year, the Victorian Branch of the Arthritis Foundation (Arthritis Victoria) and the Victorian Branch of the Australian Rheumatology Association have got together to organise a National Arthritis Week Phone-In. Calls will be taken by 20 Rheumatologists who have offered their time voluntarily to provide advice to those suffering from arthritis and other musculoskeletal diseases.
The National Arthritis
Week Phone-In will take place at the following
times:
Monday 7th April 10am - 1 pm
Wednesday 9th April 10am - 1pm and
Friday 11th April 10am - 1pm
The number to call is: 1800 678 988
